Andy Ashcroft – Owner and MD
Andy is a highly experienced international operator with wide experience of high-level political networking, leadership, press handling, international relations, trade and investment development and working with Non-Governmental Organisations.
Andy was appointed as Britain’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic and Haiti when still in his late thirties, making him one of the youngest British Ambassadors globally at the time. Andy operated at the forefront of international diplomacy in a wide range of different roles across the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Andy’s diverse skills set includes high-level commercial negotiating, networking, multi-lingual communications, PR and press handling, as well as high-level public speaking.
Andy has been instrumental in helping many reputable UK companies – including Landrover, JCB, Philip Harris International and De La Rue – win major contracts in tough overseas markets. Andy also has much practical experience in working with and advising NGOs in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
Outside work, Andy is an avid sports and music enthusiast. He played cricket and soccer to a high level in his younger years, and now plays golf with a healthy handicap. He is also a regular jogger. As a performing musician, in his early years he played with the National Youth Brass Band and the Newham (Championship) Band. He has also made several public appearances overseas playing the piano and singing. |
